Why Troop 32?
Our active troop provides Harborfields teens with fun and engaging programs and activities that allow them to try new things, give back to our Greenlawn/ Huntington/ Centerport communities, gain valuable social skills, and build lasting relationships. We are proud to produce a high number of Eagle Scouts; we all pitch in to help one another achieve our rank goals--and have a blast at the same time!
Here's What We Value...
Camping
Regularly-organized camping trips and campfires build friendships and a strong sense of camaraderie
Citizenship
Participating in Veteran's Day and other patriotic events instills an appreciation for our nation's heroes
Community Service
Giving back to our community is a main focus. Servicing others in need builds a strong work ethic and moral compass
The Great Outdoors
We offer ample opportunities to engage in hiking, fishing, boating, and other fun outdoor activities
We Build Character, Friendships, and... Eagle Scouts.
When boys join Troop 32, they stay. Simply put, we have a very caring, compassionate, and dynamic troop. The "vibe" of our Scouts, leaders, and parents make for a welcoming and enjoyable experience that makes our kids want to stick around. Our Scouts enjoy participating in merit badges that result in rank advancements--that eventually lead to creative and community-driven Eagle Scout projects that benefit everyone. And as you may know, Eagle Scouts are greatly sought after by colleges and future employment because of their demonstrated work ethic, perseverance, discipline, motivation, leadership, and achievement.
When kids succeed at Scouts, they gain skills to last a lifetime.
